Charlies Angels

Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was founded in early 2009 with the purpose of rescuing animals from the Transylvania County animal shelter which was, at the time, a high-kill shelter. In 2008, records show that 71% of the animals brought to the Transylvania County animal shelter were euthanized. By the end of 2009, 80% percent of the animals were being saved thanks in large part to the efforts of Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue.

The organization continued to grow and in 2012 Charlie’s Angels expanded its scope of services and opened Safe Haven, a no-kill shelter in nearby Fletcher, NC. We also expanded our service area in order to help rescue homeless, abandoned, and often neglected animals from shelters in Henderson, McDowell, and Madison Counties.

Today, we are one of the leading animal rescue groups in western North Carolina and we are enormously proud of the life-saving work that we do. We work closely with our shelter partners to help animals in need and are often called in to help with horrific hoarding situations.
